The European Medicines Verification Organisation (EMVO) has published its latest newsletter, highlighting public surveys conducted in Latvia, Romania and Finland, which explored prescription medicine use and public awareness of falsified medicines.
The newsletter also provides an overview of planned changes to EU pharmaceutical legislation, including a provision allowing national competent authorities and the European Medicines Agency (EMA) to use European Medicines Verification System (EMVS) data to monitor medicine shortages in the future.
