On 20 – 21 May 2026, a meeting of General Managers of National Medicines Verification Organizations (NMVO) of the Arvato Customer Group, took place in Oslo, Norway.
During the meeting, the future change management processes of the European Medicines Verification System (EMVS), the roadmap for the development of the common ecosystem, financing principles, improving reporting to national competent authorities, as well as the increasing amount of data in the verification system and its controlled deletion, in accordance with the requirements of the Delegated Regulation, were discussed.
As part of the Oslo meetings, a meeting was also held with the Arvato Systems GmbH management team to discuss such current issues as the development of the medicine verification system, future releases, data warehouses, their deletion, the possibilities of using artificial intelligence (AI), as well as communication automation in emergency situations.
Arvato Systems GmbH is a software provider responsible for the development and maintenance of the Latvian medicines verification system, as well as medicines verification systems used in 12 other European countries.
