On 30 January 2025, Arvato Systems held a webinar for IT developers to inform them about the planned updates to the LZVS. Updates will be introduced with the release of Core NMVS 6.0. All technical information on the latest system release can be found on the SWS portal.
NMVS Core Release 6.00 and NMVS Reporting 6.00 releases are scheduled for delivery in Q2 of 2025. Joint User Acceptance Tests (jUAT) are currently being conducted to qualify the releases.
Release 6.00 includes the following changes:
- deletion of UK-NI codes following the disconnection of the Northern Ireland system (Nixit) from the European Medicines Verification System,
- improvements to the new WebGUI interface and the addition of missing functionalities,
- addition of a modern encryption algorithm (AES-256) for LZVS certificates (PKI interface, PKI GUI),
- NMVS accessibility portal for IT developers and system users,
- technical improvements to the reporting system,
- technical changes to stabilise and improve the performance of the verification system,
- bug fixes.
LZVO sent IT providers an email invitation to the webinar, as well as a summary of the technical changes discussed at the seminar.
