Inese Erdmane Re-elected as Observer on the EMVO Board

Inese Erdmane, Chairperson of the Board of the Latvian Medicines Verification Organisation (LZVO), has been re-elected for the third time as an observer on the European Medicines Verification Organisation (EMVO) Board, representing the group of National Medicines Verification Organisations (NMVOs) from smaller countries – Slovakia, Norway, Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, Iceland, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, and Slovenia.

NMVO observers are confirmed once a year at the EMVO General Assembly. The nomination and election of candidates are entrusted to NMVO representatives. The role of observers is to represent the interests of national-level verification organisations, provide proposals for the efficient use of the budget, and ensure that the voices of all member states are heard in EMVO decision-making processes.

For the 2025/2026 term, the following individuals have been elected as NMVO observers:

  • Inese Erdmane – Latvian Medicines Verification Organisation (LZVO)
  • Iwona McManus – Polish Medicines Verification Organisation (KOWAL)
  • Leonie Clarke – Irish Medicines Verification Organisation (IMVO)

We congratulate all the elected observers on this responsible role and wish them every success in their work on the EMVO Board in the upcoming term!

Observers on the EMVO Board are elected for a one-year term, with candidate nominations and elections entrusted to representatives of national medicines verification organisations.
