In line with the deployment of EU Hub Release 1.16, which will take effect on 25 January 2025, the European Medicines Verification Organisation (EMVO) is introducing critical changes to the structure of Product Master Data (PMD) and Product Pack Data (PPD). Additional existing fields will now become mandatory and require action to ensure compliance.
EMVO requests that you review the EMVS Master Data Guide and Q&A Document on “PMD Introduction of Additional Mandatory Fields” and carefully check your data before uploading it to the EU Hub. It is also recommended that you coordinate with your technical team or service/connection provider to ensure your systems meet the updated requirements.
Failure to complete all mandatory fields by the deadline – 25 January 2025, 09:00 EET – will prevent users from uploading data to the EU Hub. This requirement is aligned with Article 33 of the Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2016/161.
Also, please keep in mind that due to the system update, the EU Hub will be unavailable from 10:00 to 23:00 EET on 25 January 2025.
Please refer to the overview prepared by EMVO here for detailed information about the changes introduced in this update.
We also encourage you to explore EMVO’s workshops on the upcoming changes. Recordings of the sessions are available on YouTube:
