LZVO urges end users to migrate to v5 interface

To continuously improve the functionality and security of the Latvian Medicines Verification System (LZVS), regular updates to both the LZVS core system and the end-user interface are being implemented. Currently, two versions of the interface are being maintained, but version v4 will be closed in November 2024, when the next core system update is planned to be installed. Therefore, the Latvian Medicines Verification Organization (LZVO) invites all LZVS end-users and IT suppliers to ensure which version of the interface is currently being used and, if necessary, to install the new version.

LZVO reminds that the interface version v5 has been available since May 2022, and encourages all end-users to switch to the latest interface version v5 in a timely manner. Please ensure with your IT provider that all necessary work has been done to transition to the latest interface version v5 to avoid any disruption in working with the verification system. After the installation of the next updates in November 2024, working with the medicines verification will only be possible if updates have also been installed on the end-user's side.

The interface version v5 provides several functional improvements for end-users. The response to a verification request includes information about additional parameters related to the product packaging, as well as the ability to find out whether the packaging was removed by the same user, and whether it is possible to revert the package status. The system also provides a last warning for repackaging deletion before generating an alert.
