Latvian Medicines Verification organisation (LZVO) in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, the State Agency of Medicines (ZVA) and Health Inspectorate organised the workshop on the introduction of the Falsified Medicines Directive in Latvia.
Members of the societies Association of the Big Latvian Hospitals, Union of Latvian Hospitals and Association of Health Care Employers (VADDA). The meeting was held in the premises of the Ministry of Health. Jānis Zvejnieks, Deputy Director of the ZVA, held a speech during the workshop and told about the Falsified Medicines Directive and Delegated Regulation, safety signs on the packaging of medicines that are subject to this Regulation, when it should be implemented, what should be performed by hospitals as well as provided answers to questions asked by the audience. Inese Erdmane, Executive Director of LZVO, presented the course of introduction of the Falsified Medicines Directive and Delegated Regulation in Latvia.
