The performance and operation of the Latvian Medicines Verification System (LZVS) in the first quarter of 2024 have been stable. In the first quarter of 2024, a total of 29 million transactions were carried out in the LZVS, which is a 6% increase compared to the corresponding period in 2023.

While setting up the Lithuanian Medicines Verification Organization (NVVO) came with its challenges in the beginning, ever since its founding back in 2017 we have not swayed from our goal: to ensure the safety of medicines for patients.

During the members' meeting of the Latvian Medicines Verification Organisation (LZVO) on April 10, the association's 2023 annual report was approved. The meeting also discussed current issues and future plans regarding the organization’s activities—such as financial management, financial risks, and their management principles, as well as the maintenance and development of the medicines verification system.

Latvijas Zāļu verifikācijas organizācija (LZVO) aicina visus LZVS gala lietotājus un IT piegādātājus pārliecināties, kāda interfeisa versija šobrīd tiek izmantota, un nepieciešamības gadījumā uzstādīt jauno versiju.

2024. gada 2. ceturksnī tiks atjaunināta Latvijas zāļu verifikācijas sistēma (LZVS) – pašreizējo versiju 3.0 aizstās jaunā 4.0 versija. Tādēļ LZVO aicina visus gala lietotājus jau laikus pāriet uz pēdējo interfeisa versiju v5.

2024. gada 9. februārī aprit 5 gadi, kopš visā Eiropā un arī Latvijā darbojas zāļu verifikācijas sistēma. Šo piecu gadu laikā Latvijas zāļu verifikācijas sistēmā ir pārbaudīti un nodoti drošai lietošanai iedzīvotājiem 126,8 miljoni zāļu iepakojumu.
