The Latvian Medicines Verification System (LZVS) has successfully passed all compatibility tests so that the Latvian national system is prepared for European Medicines Verification System (EU Hub) updates / system release 1.9. LZVS is ready to work without interruption and restriction

EMVO remind that even if a product has a (EU) wide authorisation, i.e. licensed in many markets, data should only be uploaded to the EMVS for markets where the product in question is actively being marketed.

In the first quarter of 2021, in the medicines verification system, which guarantees the safety and authenticity of prescription medicines, 5.8 million packages of medicines were verified and have reached consumers.
