In the 2nd quarter of 2023, 27 million transactions have been performed in the Latvian Medicines Verification System (LZVS), of which 7 million packages were decommissioned and supplied to patients.

To ensure that the Latvian Medicines Verification Organisation’s (LZVO) newsletters meet the needs of end users in terms of content and format, LZVO conducted a survey of end users in May of this year. Among those respondents (242 end users) who assessed the relevance and value of the newsletters’ information, 76% or 185 respondents rated the relevance and value of information as very good or good.

The Latvian Medicines Verification Organisation (LZVO), aiming to improve the quality of work and collaboration, conducted an end user survey on LZVO's customer service in May of this year. LZVO's customer service received a high evaluation in the survey – LZVO's customer service was rated with 4.3 points overall (on a 5-point system).

To improve the quality of work and cooperation with its customers, in April of this year, the Latvian Medicines Verification Organisation (LZVO) conducted a survey with Software Suppliers (SWS) about the LZVO's customer service. An invitation to participate in the survey was sent to all SWS’ who cooperate with the LZVO and offer technical solutions for Latvian end users – pharmacies, hospitals, healthcare institutions and pharmaceutical wholesalers.

On May 12, at the European Medicines Verification Organisation’s (EMVO) General Assembly meeting, the NMVO Observers within EMVO’s Board for 2023 from the National Medicines Verification Organizations (NMVOs) were approved. As one of the observers representing the group of small-scale countries, will be the Latvian Medicines Verification Organisation (LZVO) and its Chairwoman of the Board Inese Erdmane.
