On November 30, 2022, a General Assembly meeting of stakeholders of the Latvian Medicines Verification Organisation (LZVO) was held, where the strategy and budget for 2023 were approved.

The European Medicines Verification Organization (EMVO) has launched a Newsletter, which introduces to the criteria that allow the identification of the "critical countries" of the system, tells about Romania's verification experience and other current issues of the system.

In the nine months of this year, 20.5 million medicine packages were checked against falsification from the medicines purchased by citizens in pharmacies or used by patients in healthcare institutions. This is 8% more than in the same period of last year, according to data from the Latvian Medicines Verification Organization (LZVO).

The Latvian Medicines Verification Organization (LZVO) in the third issue of the Newsletter (October 2022) informs about system news, the cycle of seminars held, LZVS performance indicators in the third quarter of 2022 and analyse received alerts in the system.

LZVS developer Arvato has prepared the next Core release 1.11, which will replace the current version 1.10. With the new version of the Core release, several functional changes and improvements will be introduced, including SSO (single sing out) functionality improvements, as well as system security enhancements.
